I Love My ExerSaucer!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

On Saturday night, we went to visit PawPaw and Grandma to celebrate Grandma's 51st birthday! We had a great time visiting, playing and seeing cousin Hannah!

Roly Poly

Ok, so I am very behind with posting. We have just been so busy and it is hard for me to find the time to keep up with everything :)

Last Monday, Grant started rolling over from his back to his tummy. I tried to capture a few pictures of him rolling over from his back for the first time. He loves to roll! Now he rolls over all the time including at night when he is in his crib and should be sleeping :)

We love watching him reach these milestones! It seems like every few days, he is doing something new!

4 months old!

It's hard for me to believe that Grant is 4 months old! He turned 4 months this past Tuesday and we took him for his 4 month well check on Thursday. He has been doing really well the past few weeks since we finally have things figured out related to his milk allergy and acid reflux. At his 4 month appointment, he weighed 16 lbs (75th percentile) and was 25 inches long (55th percentile). He was in the 75th percentile for head size. He is right on target with his growth and his developmental milestones. His doctor wants us to wait until he is 6 months to start solids with him because of the milk allergy and right now he is still drinking 5 ozs. every 3 hours. He has been doing really well sleeping through the night! He has moved up to 3-6 month and 6 month clothing and smiles and babbles more and more. Things are also going well at daycare.

In the past few weeks, he has found his feet and loves to play with them and take his socks off. We have also started putting him in his exersaucer and he really likes that. He rolls over from his tummy to his back and can almost roll from his back to his tummy. We have been working on sitting up unsupported, but right now he is still needing support to sit.

This past weekend Grant had his first sleepover at the grandparent's house. Brandon and I went down to Greenville, SC for the night and Grant stayed with MaMaw and Pops. He did really well and had lots of fun playing and visiting with some of his Great Aunts and cousins on Brandon's side. We had a relaxing and restful time and slept late, did some shopping, ate good food and visited downtown Greenville and Falls Park (some of the things we used to do when Brandon lived in Greenville). We had fun, but were excited to get back home to see Grant :)

Here are some pics from the past couple of weeks...

Family Time

We all had a rough night this week on Thursday night. Grant was up most of the night crying and we weren't sure what was wrong with him. Long story short is that his doctor thinks he has mild acid reflux and we started him on medicine for that on Friday. I always thought that babies with that spit up a lot and Grant hardly spits up, but apparently you can have it without spitting up much. He has felt much better this weekend and hopefully we are on the right track now for him staying that way since we have now figured out the milk allergy, the correct formula for him and the acid reflux issue :)

Rolling Over

Grant rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time when he was 6 weeks old. It was a complete accident and he hasn't done it since...until Sunday evening :) On Sunday afternoon, Brandon was practicing rolling with Grant. He would put him on his side and let him push himself over to his back. Brandon's parents stayed with Grant on Sunday evening so we could go to a friend's house for our fantasy football draft. We have both had fantasy football teams (Go Rehab Rebels!) for the past couple of years in a league with my coworkers. While we were gone, Grant was on his tummy on his playmat and was looking up at the toys hanging down and rolled over! He did it again for me on Monday night and did it during the day today. He is also doing really well holding his head up when he is on his tummy and can hold it up to about 90 degrees. It is so exciting to watch him learn new skills and reach milestones like rolling over. I can't wait to see what he will learn next :)
