Our scary jack-o-lantern

On Sunday evening, we carved our first pumpkin as a family. Grant had been looking forward to making a jack-o-lantern all week. He helped pick out the design for the face. I wanted a happy face. Brandon wanted a scary face so of course Grant also wanted a scary face, but not too scary. When it came down to actually cleaning out the pumpkin, Grant really wasn't very interested in that. To be honest Grant and I did a lot of supervising and Brandon did most of the actual work:) We were all very excited to see it finished and all lit up!

Grant has a Halloween party at school on Thursday and can't wait to dress up like Batman! Colton is going to be Robin:) We always have tons of trick-or-treaters and are looking forward to Thursday night!

My boys:)

There's nothing like an evening walk with dad. Love these boys so much!

5 months!!

Colton was 5 months old on Thursday...it's amazing how quickly time goes by! He's growing like a weed, but unfortunately has had a cold all week. Grant is just getting over strep throat. It seems like someone is always sick at our house these days, but I guess that is how it is going to be until we get through the fall and winter! Thankfully despite having a cold, he is still sleeping and eating well and has been in a pretty good mood for the most part.

He rolls over constantly these days and mostly sleeps on his side or tummy because as soon as you lay him down, he rolls over. We got out Grant's exersaucer and he loves playing in that. He wants to try to stand up more and more and loves chewing on all of his toys. He drools constantly! He trys to "talk" to us and makes the cutest little sounds.

He absolutely loves his big brother! He watches everything Grant does and will actually stop crying if Grant starts talking to him and playing peek-a-boo with him. He laughs out loud at Grant all of the time:) It really is the cutest thing to watch!

We haven't started any solids yet, but probably will within the next few weeks. He is still eating around 6 ozs 6 times a day and is a great sleeper!! (Every time I say/write that, I am afraid I am going to jinx it!)

He loves his teacher, Ms. Dorothy, and she is so great with him. He is definitely the teacher's pet:)  I am so thankful every day to have such a great place to take both of them! It makes such a difference to know that they are happy, safe and learning so much all day while both of us are at work. Colton is amazed by all of the "big" kids and Grant loves showing off his little brother:)
Check out the drool:)
The exersaucer makes it easier for these two to play together. I hope they are always best friends!
Sweet baby boy
Colton's hair is really growing and is getting darker and darker!

Grant's hair also grows so quickly...someone really needs a haircut!
Such a big boy!

Grant's silly face:)

It's Pumpkin Patch Time!

For the past 2 years we have taken Grant to Lineberger's Farm in Dallas to the pumpkin patch. He couldn't wait to go again this year and has been talking about going for weeks. We made our yearly pumpkin patch visit (now as a family of four:)) last Sunday and really had a fun afternoon! Grant loves picking out our pumpkins and all of the activities that they have there. Colton slept for part of the visit, but loved seeing all of the sights once he woke up. We got 4 pumpkins and Grant can't wait to make a jack-o-lantern and decorate our front porch!
One of Grant's favorite activities is the wagon ride around the farm.
He also loves the sandbox and all of the slides.
Really growing tall!
My sweet boys:)
It's hard to believe how quickly these two are growing up!

Trophy Time!

Grant got his first trophy today! He couldn't have been more excited! He still has lots to learn about soccer, but we are so proud of him for finishing his first soccer season. He has really had fun playing soccer, making new friends and getting the drinks and snacks at the end of every game:) I'm sure this is the first of many more sporting events to come! Congrats Grant! Mom and Dad love you so much!

Happy Birthday MiMi!

MiMi's birthday was in September, but we all got together last weekend to celebrate MiMi's birthday along with Uncle Heath and Uncle Adam's birthday. We had a fun night of good food, cake, presents and lots of play time! MiMi loved her necklace that was engraved with the names of her 3 favorite people:)
