Other July Activities

So what else have we been up to during July? 

Brandon and I took a 3 day trip to Hilton Head, SC. The boys stayed with MaMaw and PaPaw. We haven't taken a trip by ourselves in a while and we really had a great time! We stayed at the Westin (one of my favorite hotels!), hit the beach, did some shopping, read books, and ate at some great restaurants. The boys had lots of fun "on the farm" with MaMaw and PaPaw as well! It was a great long weekend!!

We celebrated Brandon's 34th birthday with some family time and a birthday breakfast! Everyone was all smiles:)

Grant and Colton playing together one morning at school. In a few weeks, Grant will move to the 4 year old preschool class and Colton will move to the toddler 1-2 year old class. They are seriously growing up so fast!! They have been having lots of fun with all of the summer activities at school.

Grant and I went on a date to the movies and to dinner. We saw Planes Fire and Rescue and it was Grant's first trip to the movies. We had lots of fun and Grant ate a small popcorn almost completely by himself! It was such fun mom/son time! Love making these memories!

And a few pics of the boys together! As Colton gets older, they are really able to "play" together much more now and seriously love each other so much! Grant is a great big brother and Colton wants to do everything that Grant does. Colton is really growing! He can repeat almost anything that you say and says "Gant" for Grant. He can tell you what a cow and monkey says and can point to lots of body parts when you ask him now. He is getting more teeth and most importantly, we said "bye bye" to his pacifier the weekend of July 25th! We had 1 tough night, but overall he has done really well and I am so glad to be done with that! Colton also had his ENT appointment last week and will be getting tubes in his ears on August 19th so hopefully that will take care of all of the ear infection issues.

Happy Birthday Hannah!

It's so hard to believe that Hannah turned 5 on July 23rd and that she will be starting school in a few weeks! She is such a sweet and loving young lady and it is so fun to see Hannah, Grant and Colton playing together. We all had an amazing time celebrating Hannah's birthday!

Riverbanks Zoo!

Mid July we took a trip to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC. We met the Steeles and the Powells there and really had an amazing time! It was super hot and humid, but the kids didn't seem to mind:) There were 7 kids under the age of 5...hard to believe!! Grant had the best time and talked about it for days and it was Colton's first trip to the zoo. It was a great day trip with our Circle of Friends!
