6 months!!

Colton turned 6 months old on Sunday...man time is flying by!! There is no way my baby is already 6 months! He is really getting to be such a big boy! He started his first vegetable this weekend...carrots. He likes them a lot better than the rice cereal and has been doing great with them so far. Last Wednesday, he started babbling "da da da da" and he also says "ba ba ba ba." He has started blowing raspberries and still laughs and smiles all of the time!

He pushes himself around backwards on his belly on the floor (which looks like he is trying to belly crawl backwards). It is pretty funny to watch and you can tell he really wants to be on the move like Grant. Grant can still make him smile, laugh and stop crying and he truly adores his big brother. Grant likes that he can sort of play with him now and he really likes being our helper when it comes to Colton. Colton is also learning to sit up, but hasn't quiet mastered it yet.

He is still an amazing sleeper, loves his bottle and pacifier, and wants to be held up where he is standing all of the time. He drools constantly, chews on everything and I'm pretty sure that he is teething. He has moved up to size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes. He will go for his 6 month well check next week so we will be able to really see how much he has grown.

He gets spoiled every day by his daycare teacher, Ms. Dorothy, and we are so thankful for her.

Colton has the sweetest little personality and really makes our family feel complete. I can't believe he is half way to 1 year old and his big brother will be 4 in 6 short months!!

"This is so much better than that cereal, mom!"

These two really love each other!

It's cereal time:)

This weekend we started rice cereal with Colton. I have to say that it is not his favorite thing yet. I tried to get him to eat about a 1/2 tablespoon in the morning and evening yesterday and today. He did better today, but is still trying to figure it all out:) I'm sure he'll come around and then we can move on to vegetables.
First time trying out the high chair
Such a big boy!

What is this mom??
Notice how he is spitting it out in most of the pics:)

Ok, maybe it's not that bad.

Getting ready for picture day

Wednesday was picture day at school. When there are siblings, they take individual pictures and also take their picture together. Last weekend, I was trying clothes on the boys to get ready for picture day. They were both laughing and acting silly so we decided to take a few pics plus it would be good "practice" (like they haven't had practice taking pics together:)). Their teachers said they both did really well and I can't wait to see how they turn out!

Our Superheroes- Halloween 2013

Grant couldn't have been more excited about Halloween this year! He decided he was going to be Batman and Colton was going to be Robin forever ago. Luckily I was able to find the perfect costumes for both of them. Grant had a Halloween party at school so he got to dress up to go to school, which he was super excited about. Most of his friends were other superheroes and they couldn't have all been more cute or more wild together! They had a party and went trick-or-treating around the church and got treats from everyone.

We always have tons of trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood and give out so much candy! Most everyone sits out on their porch to hand out candy and it really is the perfect neighborhood for trick-or-treating. MiMi, MaMaw and Aunt Mary Ellen all came over to join in with the festivities. We all went trick-or-treating throughout the neighborhood and then came back and gave out candy. Colton loved riding around and seeing all of the costumes and Grant was such a big kid with going up to our neighbors to get his candy treats. Grant also loved giving out candy at our house once we got back. We really had a fun Halloween with our two superheroes!
