10 months!

Colton turned 10 months old yesterday...only 2 months away from 1 year old!! Colton has been dealing with an ear infection and a cold for the past week, but is finally starting to feel some better. I was off work today because I have to work on Saturday and Colton, Grant and I had a stay home day today:) We have had a fun day playing! Colton loves playing with all of his big brother's toys and definitely lets you know it if you take something away from him that he wants!

He is a speed crawler and a brave little furniture walker! He can climb all the way up the stairs (with me right behind him) and is so proud of himself when he gets to the top:) He's starting to drink from his sippy cup a little better now (instead of just playing with it and throwing it down!) and we are starting to try more textured baby food, although he hasn't been a huge fan of trying anything new while he has been sick.

He "talks" more and more and can say "mama" "dada" and "no" and we have been encouraging him to say words like "up" "more" and "bye bye." He has figured out that he can point to what he wants and definitely lets us know anything he wants that way.

He still loves his pacifier (definitely not going to be fun when it is time to take that away), likes playing peekaboo especially with his towel after bath time, loves music and singing and loves being outside. Pretty much anything he touches goes in his mouth and he still just has 2 teeth.

I am truly amazed at how quickly time goes by and can't believe my baby boy is going to be a toddler soon!

Family Fun!

Yesterday, Hannah, Aunt Kelli, Uncle Heath, MiMi and GiGi came over for a visit and to play. It was a beautiful day so Grant and Hannah got lots of play time outside. Unfortunately, Colton has an ear infection and a cold so he didn't get to play outside as much, but he did enjoy having some visitors:) Thanks Aunt Kelli for taking some iPhone pics of the day!

Colton's First Haircut

We took Colton for his first haircut this morning. I really didn't want to get it cut yet, but it was getting so long that it was constantly in his eyes. He wasn't quiet sure what to think about it all, but overall did well during the haircut:)

Great Wolf Lodge- Trip #2!

This weekend we took our 2nd trip to the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord! We went last July when Colton was only 7 weeks old. On this trip we celebrated Aunt Kelli's 30th birthday and had a great time! Grant was just tall enough to get to go down the "big" water slides with an adult. He was so brave and absolutely loved it! All 3 of us were even able to go down together in a tube on one of the slides:) This was also Colton's first time in the water and he loved playing in the baby area! We played in the arcade and went to story time with the characters. It's so nice to have such a great family-oriented water park so close. We will definitely make the Great Wolf Lodge a family tradition!

We got a "Kid Kamp" suite so Grant had his own "camping" area in our room with his own bunk beds and TV, which he loved!
