1 1/2 years old!

It's hard for me to believe that Colton is already 1 1/2!  My baby boy is growing up so quickly! He had his 18 month well check this week and he now weighs 23 1bs 13 ozs (50th percentile) and is 31.75 inches tall (25th percentile) (He wasn't very cooperative during his height measurement so that may be a little off.) He is right on track with everything developmentally and besides catching colds, he is a healthy boy.

Colton loves playing with trucks, cars, trains and anything his big brother is playing with. He does everything and anything that his big brother does and the two of them are very cute together. Of course, I have to watch Colton like a hawk to make sure he doesn't get hurt:) He climbs on everything and loves playing outside. He likes to watch Mickey Mouse, Thomas and Blaze. He loves reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear and The Little Blue Truck and we read together every night.

He is a really good eater. He loves macaroni and cheese, goldfish crackers and applesauce but will really eat most anything. He's an amazing sleeper. (Both boys are and I am so thankful for that!)

He says lots of words and will repeat almost anything you ask him to (some things are much easier to understand than others:)) He knows all of his body parts and can tell you the sound and name of most animals.

He's doing great in his toddler class at school and plays well with the other kids in his class. Grant (Gant as Colton says) is definitely his best friend though!

He is a very sweet, happy, and healthy little boy and can seriously melt your heart with his sweet, sweet smile. I couldn't be more thankful for my two boys.

Cold but cute:) Love these two so much!

Happy Halloween!

We had lots of protection this Halloween from Power Ranger and Batman! The boys couldn't have had more fun on Halloween! Grant and Colton both had a Halloween party at school and then Grant went on a field trip trick-or-treating in downtown Belmont and out to eat lunch.

MaMaw, PaPaw and MiMi came over to celebrate on Halloween night and to help give out candy. The boys had lots of fun trick-or-treating in our neighborhood and of course we gave out tons of candy! Our neighbors had a fire and Grant loved eating smores. The rain held off until we had finished all of the festivities. It was a really great Halloween!

Colton was such a big kid! He walked our entire neighborhood carrying his bucket and didn't want any help!

Pumpkin Patch Time!

Yesterday, we took our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch at Lineberger's Farm in Dallas. Grant looks forward to this every year and this year Colton was old enough to join in the fun! The boys had fun picking out pumpkins, going on a hayride and playing on the farm. The weather was perfect and we all had a really great time!
Sweet Colton. He wouldn't put this pumpkin down the entire time:)

We take this picture every year:) Grant is really growing up!
And now little brother is added to the pic!

What a great smile!

Love these boys so much!

Trophy time!

Grant had his last soccer game last weekend and also got his soccer trophy. He was so excited to have a new trophy to add to his collection! Grant really enjoyed soccer this year and Brandon had a great time coaching! Grant improved with his soccer skills and made some new friends and Brandon had his first experience coaching one of the boy's teams. We are looking forward to spring t-ball and then fall soccer again next year!

A Day Out With Thomas

On Sunday, we went to the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer to ride on Thomas. Grant and Colton both really like trains, cars, trucks, etc and Colton is really into Thomas right now. We got to see Thomas and Percy and to take a ride on Thomas, which they both loved! They had tons of fun activities for the boys and a lot of antique trains, cars and trucks to see and explore. It was a really fun afternoon:)
