Happy 2012!

We had a fun New Year's weekend!  We did a lot of just relaxing and resting at home to recuperate from all of the Christmas festivities.  On New Year's Eve, Brandon and I followed our New Year's Eve tradition and went out to dinner at Red Rocks in Charlotte.  Brandon and I got engaged 6 years ago on New Year's Day after eating at Red Rocks that night and have made it our tradition to go back there each year.  Our best friends, Drew and Jodi, went with us this year and it was nice to have a night out (without kids).

On New Year's Day, we visited MiMi and PawPaw and of course Grant had a great time playing at their house and playing with Hannah!  Hannah and Grant got out PawPaw's cowboy hats and Grant looked so cute in it!  He loves hats, but surprisingly had never worn a cowboy hat...of course he loved it!

2011 has been a great year for us...Grant contiues to grow and learn more and more each day!  In 2011, he learned to talk and walk (now he just runs!) and has grown from a baby to a toddler.  Christmas was definitely a highlight, along with our family trip to Isle of Palms and our trip with my entire family to Myrtle Beach.  Weekends at Lake James and afternoons at Stowe Park and the neighboorhood school playground are also highlights that come to mind from 2011.  Grant has grown to love being outside even more and walks through our neighborhood with Grant being pushed on his bike or pulled in his wagon are also fun times from 2011.  Grant has also grown even more in his love for books, trucks, cars, tractors, playing ball and Sesame Street.

Grant is so fortunate to live close to all of his family and gets to see everyone really often.  He also loves playing with his favorite cousin, Hannah, and girlfriend, Lila.  He continues to LOVE daycare and all of his teachers and friends there.

I know 2012 will be full of even more exciting times for our family and I am so looking forward to what's next for Grant and our family!!
