9 month well check and iPhone pics

I took Colton to his 9 month well check last Tuesday. He weighed exactly 20 lbs (50th percentile), was 28 1/2 inches tall (50th percentile) and his head was 18 1/4 inches (75-90th percentile). He is right on track with all of his development and a healthy little boy (other than the constant runny nose)!

Below are a few iPhone pics of Colton and Grant from the past 2 weekends. It's been so great to have some warmer weather for the past 2 weekends so we could get outside more. Just like Grant, Colton loves being outside. Every time I walk by the front door with Colton, he points to the door and cries if he doesn't get to go outside!
Sweet brothers!
Loving a Sunday afternoon stroll:)

9 months!

Colton turned 9 months old on Monday! It really seems like just yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital! Now he is crawling, standing, learning to drink from a sippy cup, learning to eat finger foods, trying his best to talk to us, super curious about everything and loves to explore, and best friends with his big brother!
Can you believe how big he is getting!?!
He loves standing up now and pulls up on absolutely everything!

These two couldn't be more cute together! Colton still wants to do everything his big brother does and Grant is seriously the best big brother!

Here's a few pics from Valentine's day. Valentine's day kind of got over shadowed by all of the snow, but we did have our own family party and they had a party at school yesterday. The valentine's candy at our house right now is out of control!
Grant had lots of fun making Super Hero valentine's for all of his friends and family and he got lots of fun treats from everyone as well!
A few iPhone pics from the past few weeks

Snow Days

We had one of the biggest snows in a decade last week and got around 8 inches of snow at our house! The boys were of course out of school Wed-Friday and Brandon had to work a ton to help get all of the power back on. I was at home with the boys Wednesday, Thursday and part of the day Friday until Brandon could come home. Luckily, I have amazing teammates that were able to cover for me at work.

The boys and I had lots of play time together and a little bit of time playing in the snow as well. I have to say that it wasn't a small task getting all of us bundled up so that we could all go out! It was Colton's first time being out in the snow and he just looked around in amazement:) Grant loved every minute of being outside playing! Although snow days can be fun, I'm so glad everything is back to normal now and I have to say that I am really ready and looking forward to spring!
Snow day 1- I watched Grant play from the porch while Colton played in the exersaucer

Grant really loved the snow!
Snow day 2- Too much time in doors! Grant moved the entire train and train tracks from the train table to the floor. I was pretty impressed at how well he rebuilt everything!
It snowed so hard all Thursday morning!
We all went out to play and Colton got to play out in the snow for the first time!

These boys have so much fun together!

Just for a little comparison...Grant's first time in the snow in January 2011:)

Built to Amaze- Grant's first circus!

Last Saturday, we took Grant and Hannah to their first circus. We all had a great time! We saw elephants, tigers, clowns, dancers, acrobats, and even a lady getting shot out of a cannon! MiMi stayed with Colton, but hopefully Colton will get to go too next year:) Below are a few iPhone pics from the day.
Excited to be on the way to the circus!
Elephants!
Excited about new toys!
These performers were really amazing to watch!
So many cool things to see:)

My baby is growing up!

So suddenly Colton is not a baby anymore! Brandon and I were just talking last night about how much he has changed in just the past few weeks! He has figured out how to pull up to stand now so he wants to do that all of the time. We have to watch him like a hawk since he isn't that stable with it yet:)

He has 2 teeth now and is starting to eat some meat baby food. He has tried chicken so far and he isn't a huge fan. We gave him puffs for the first time this week too and he does really like those:) Grant loves helping Colton eat puffs (or as Grant calls them "those star crumbs").

Colton has also started saying "ma ma ma ma" and of course that makes me really excited!

We got out some of Grant's old toys from the attic last weekend so it was like Colton (and Grant) had Christmas again! It's funny how Colton just wants to play with Grant's toys and Grant gets amazed by all of Colton's new toys. The toys in this house are out of control and are literally taking over our house, but the boys love all of them and as long as her boys are happy...mommy is happy!

Colton pulling up in his crib at daycare for the first time:) Ms. Dorothy sent me this picture last Friday.
Grant and Colton love playing in this tent!

Trying to get some pics of Colton's teeth:) These faces crack me up!

8 months old!

Colton was 8 months old on Friday. I feel like he has changed so much in the last month! He can crawl anywhere he wants now. He is starting to pull up. He is getting 2 teeth and still drools and chews on everything like crazy. He literally follows Grant around everywhere and it is almost impossible to get him to sit still now that he has figured out how to move himself around! His hair is getting so long and he is just a growing little baby!

He is a good eater and went through a few weeks where he wasn't sleeping as well (I think mostly because of the teething and the fact that he has had a runny nose for about a month now!) He has been sleeping better in the past few weeks though. He is quickly moving into 9-12 months clothes and weighs about 19 1/2 lbs. He still smiles and laughs all of the time, is babbling more and more and loves his pacifier! He also loves playing peek-a-boo and we have been working on him waving bye and saying bye bye:)
Check out that long hair!
 Trying to escape...
If you look closely, you can see his 2 teeth:)
Not so easy to get these 2 to sit still for a picture:)
But they do love each other so much and are so cute to watch together!
Trying out his ball cap:)
On the move!
